The tenth season of ABC‘s Dancing With the Stars has all sorts of new things in store for viewers. Obviously there are the eleven new celebrity competitors, but the reality dance competition also boasts a new host (Brooke Burke) and new dance pro, Damian Whitewood. The Australian native, who will be paired with Pamela Anderson, talks about his dance past and his experience with the Baywatch babe…
ABC‘s Dancing With the Stars is just the next step in the successful career of Australian dance pro, Damian Whitewood. The 32-year-old has been dancing for over twenty years and began competing in dance competitions at the age of 15. He’s spent the past ten years traveling around the world with international dance company, Burn the Floor. Now, the Aussie is coming back into the competitive world of dance, partnering with Pamela Anderson on the tenth season of ABC‘s Dancing With the Stars.
“I’ve got to step it up a few notches to get back into the competitive scene,†Whitewood tells People magazine. “I’m sure it’s going to be a lot of fun.†Damian, who is paired up with blonde bombshell Pamela Anderson, admits he was worried about meeting his new partner for the first time. “I was nervous waiting for her to come through the door,†he says. “But she’s very down to earth, very genuine, and very nice. She’s family oriented; she’s got two boys who she’s always running around with.â€
Whitewood certainly has his work cut out for him with the sexy actress on ABC‘s Dancing With the Stars. “She has no dance experience whatsoever,†Whitewood says about Pamela Anderson. “It’s totally foreign to her. She obviously has to loosen those feet and ankles, and relax a little bit more, but that only comes with time.†Despite Anderson’s lack of experience, Whitewood is confident that the pair has a fighting chance to win the competition. “If we have good chemistry and we’re having fun, everybody can relate to that,†he says. “It’s about a man and a woman, up close and personal, dancing together.â€
