Puck, the notorious housemate from season two of MTV‘s Real World, has been severely injured in a car accident with his 8-year old son. After flipping his car and landing in a creek, the reality TV star is being treated for several injuries which include a broken neck and fractured sternum. Keep reading for more details…
Longtime fans of MTV‘s Real World remember Puck (real name David Rainey) as the first real villain in the reality show’s long history. Known for his rude behavior and poor personal hygiene, Puck was one of MTV‘s first love-to-hate-them reality stars. Puck was part of the second season of MTV‘s Real World set in San Francisco. He was also the first (but definitely not the last) Real World cast member to be asked to leave the house before the season’s end.
Puck is currently in the hospital being treated for major injuries he sustained after a car accident involving his 8-year old son. The Real World star was on his way to a fishing trip with his son when he swerved to avoid hitting a deer. His car then rolled down the embankment, flipped over, and landed in a creek trapping him inside. His 8-year-old son was able to free himself and ran to get help.
The MTV reality star and his son were taken to a nearby hospital where Puck was treated for a series of injuries which included a broken neck, crushed bones in his hands and feet, a fractured sternum, and fractured clavicle. His son suffered from minor internal injuries to his liver and has been released from the hospital. Puck will remain in the treatment for another week.
