Tonight’s all new episode of Project Runway on Lifetime is full of surprises and twists. As the designers are asked to create a look for Heidi Klum, one contestant cannot handle the pressure while another returns. With all these changes and a few more at the last minute, which designers will rise to the top and which designers will crack under the pressure? Keep reading for all the details!
The contestants on Project Runway on Lifetime are nervous tonight when Tim Gunn tells them they will need to create a red carpet look for a high profile celebrity, but then they are shocked to learn that the celebrity is none other than Heidi Klum herself! Heidi Klum gives them much advice about her fashion tastes and styles, and then they head off to Mood to get their fabrics, this week with $300 each in hand…nothing like splurging on Heidi.
After their shopping spree for their Heidi Klum look, the fashion contestants are given another whopper: Maya has decided she is not ready to go all the way and quits the competition! I was starting to wonder if this was nothing more than an April fool’s joke, but apparently not. Tim Gunn returns once again to greet the shocked contestants with another announcement…they are bringing back another contestant to fill in Maya’s place. Their faces light up as Anthony comes strolling through the door. I am so glad we get him back, he is definitely a breathe of fresh air on the show.
The drama did not end there however on Project Runway on Lifetime as Tim Gunn once again comes in and tells Seth that he needs to speak to him privately. Seth in informed that his model, Valeria has changed her mind and decided to take the DKNY job afterall. Seth will be working with Cerri instead, which frustrates him as he now has no idea about her body or measurements. Hopefully he can make it work for the Heidi Klum fashion design challenge.
Next up on Project Runway on Lifetime, Heidi Klum visits the workroom to take a look at what the designers have so far and give her critique. She starts by telling Seth that long & black can work if done properly, and then heads over to Jay to let him know that he should not be accentuating a woman’s behind in any design which is what he was doing. Jonathan is extremely disappointed when Heidi Klum tells him how much she dislikes the fabric that he has been working all day on, and he decides to scrap the dress and start over….twice!
Finally it was runway time on Project Runway on Lifetime, and Heidi Klum and the gang with the help of Jessica Alba have a pretty clear idea of who the top contestants are. After a brief discussion, Heidi Klum announces that there are two winners this week. Emilio wins his third consecutive win (and 4th win this season) with his long, glamorous, glittery gown that looks like a million bucks.
Jessica announces the second winner is Anthony with his beautiful, flowing, black & white gown. His gown was by far the best of the evening in my opinion, and clearly Jessica agrees as she asks Anthony if she can wear his gown. That means that we have 4 left. Heidi Klum quickly sends Seth to safety, even though they were not thrilled with his black gown that did not quite measure up to the red carpet, it was good enough to keep him another week. Heidi Klum then scolded Jay for short gown with the ruffled bottom which enlarged his model’s behind. She then sent him off to safety however, so I guess it wasn’t that bad.
That left Mila and Jonathan on Project Runway on Lifetime. While the judges were not thrilled with Mila’s design as a red carpet Heidi Klum look, they were not ready to send her packing either. Alas, we had to say goodbye to Jonathan, whose third creation of the evening did not go over well with the judges. It was too plain, too short and was definitely not Heidi Klum worthy. Best of luck to Jonathan, I doubt this is the last we will hear of him!
