Real Housewives of Atlanta: NeNe Leakes’ Son Arrested For Marijuana Possession

NeNe Leakes, star of Bravo‘s The Real Housewives of Atlanta, is one disappointed mama! Her oldest son, Bryson Bryant, was arrested on Tuesday for carrying illegal drugs onto jail grounds. Bryant turned himself in when he learned of the warrant for his arrest for charges that stem from his March 7th arrest. Bryant was caught with less than one ounce of marijuana in his possession when he visited an inmate at an area prison in Georgia’s Gwinnett County.
Bryant has appeared regularly on seasons one and two of Bravo‘s The Real Housewives of Atlanta. On March 7th, he was arrested for possessing marijuana. After he posted bail and left the jail, a new charge was made against him for crossing a guard line while carrying illegal drugs. When Bryant learned about the new charges, he turned himself in. He was released after posting $5,700 bail.
Leakes says she was “disappointed” by her son’s actions. “Certainly, my husband and I will deal with this family issue in a private manner,” The Real Housewives of Atlanta says. ”My son is not the first young adult to experiment with marijuana, and he certainly won’t be the last. Still, as parents, this is a chance for us to have an open dialogue with him about the dangers of any substance abuse. I realize as a parent that my job is never done. And as I’ve tweeted, tough love was in order.”
