Bret Michaels, a competitor on NBC‘s Celebrity Apprentice, is known for a lot of things, but being a doting father isn’t necessarily one of them. The rocker and former star of Rock Of Love wants the world to know that the most important things to him aren’t music or women, but his two daughters, Raine and Jorja. The Poison front man opens up about the two special ladies in his life…
Currently starring on NBC‘s Celebrity Apprentice, Bret Michaels is known for his long blonde hair, always present bandana, and general rock star attitude, but at home, he plays a completely different role: loving father. The star, who has two daughters with on-again/off-again girlfriend, Kristi Gibson, is a doting father to 9-year old Raine, and 4-year old Jorja.”The most important thing I’ve taught them is that I love them. I may not be there every day of their life, but I call them three [or] four times a day,†Michaels says.
Though he calls his relationship with Gibson “a work in progress,” Michaels is in completely unity with her when it comes to parenting. “We tell our daughter their mom and dad will never be replaced,†he says. When Michaels isn’t busy with work, he spends as much time in Arizona with his daughters as possible. And they might even be responsible for his success on NBC‘s Celebrity Apprentice. “All my negotiating skills I’ve learned in recent times [come] from my daughters,†he jokes.
As surprising as it may seem, when he’s at home with the girls Michaels is a big goof. “We sing together,†his daughter, Raine says. “It’s really cool. He’s just kind of like a big kid.†His 4-year old daughter Jorja adds, “Dad is a rock star! He is my hero.”
