American Idol alums, season 4 champÂ Carrie Underwood and season 5 finalistÂ Kellie Pickler, have been nominated in several categories for the upcoming 2010 CMT Music Awards. The country stars have been selected as nominees in the first round of 2010 CMT Music Awards nominations. Voting is now underway to narrow down the nominees to four in each category.
American Idol season 4 champÂ Carrie Underwood has been nominated for five CMT Music Awards for her singles, Cowboy Casanova and Temporary Home. For Cowboy Casanova, she received nominations for Music Video of the Year, Female Music Video of the Year, and Director of the Year (for Theresa Wingert who helmed the music video). For Temporary Home,Â Carrie Underwood received nominations for CMT Performance of the Year and Director of the Year (for Deaton Flanigen who helmed the music video).
American Idol season 5 finalistÂ Kellie Pickler has received four CMT Music Awards nominations for her singles, Didn’t You Know How Much I Loved You and Best Days of Your Life. ForÂ Didn’t You Know How Much I Loved You,Â Kellie Pickler was nominated for Female Video of the Year and Best Director (for Roman White who helmed the music video). For Best Days of Your Life, theÂ American Idol star received nominations for Collaborative Video of the Year and Best Director (again for Roman White).
CMT Music Awards will announce four nominees in each category on May 11th with the winners being revealed on a live telecast on June 9th.
