Between peeping Toms posting nude videos on the internet and deranged stalkers sending death threats, ESPN correspondent Erin Andrews has had a rough year so it’s no wonder she wants to focus on ABC‘s Dancing With the Stars to keep her mind off everything else. The sportscaster has been doing quite well on the reality dance competition, despite the terrifying turmoil in her personal life. We’ve got the details revealing the specifics of one of the death threats against Andrews and what critics are saying about her decision to continue on the show…
All things considered, ESPN’s Erin Andrews is doing quite well on this season of ABC‘s Dancing With the Stars. She and partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy have scored among the top competitors and there are rumors of a budding romance between the pair. Recent death threats have shaken the sportscaster but she’s not willing to let a deranged fan keep her from finishing what she’s started, regardless of what critics have to say about it.
It’s been revealed that death threats intended for Erin Andrews were emailed to “The Dan Patrick Show” on March 26th, 29th, and 30th, according to TMZ. The threat sent on March 29th allegedly reads:Â ”I would like to see if Erin Andrews can dance her way through a hail of gunfire. Better yet I would love to shoot her with a Barrett rifle. Get the pun — her stalker was Mr. Barrett and the barrett rifle is an ultra expensive 50 cl. rifle with a range over a mile.”
The emails were reportedly sent from a Virginia man, but an arrest has yet to be made. According to authorities, the emails fall under the man’s right to free speech. In the midst of the terrifying threats, Andrews is being slammed by critics, one of whom say the sportscaster is making “a fool out of herself” by “competing for face-time with bimbos” on ABC‘s Dancing With the Stars.
Andrews fires back at the critics about her decision to participate in ABC‘s Dancing With the Stars, saying, “I’m just confused because I guess it’s OK for an NFL player and a gold medalist to do the show and be taken seriously, but nobody else is allowed….I don’t know what damage I’m doing. I’m basically killing myself to not embarrass myself. I’ve been in the top three in scoring each week, behind an athlete and a professional dancer and singer. I’m not sure what damage I created for myself. What am I doing to be a bimbo? I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong.”
