Last night, Dancing With the Stars saw the toughest round of competition yet as the stars had to face double scores by the judges. They were not only judged on their technique, but also their performance. Were Kate and Tony’s heads on the chopping block this week? Once again I hoped so. Keep reading to find out if I am right or would Kate be on the stage next week performing her mannequin routine for us one more time!
Right to the results folks! Hosts Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke announced the first couples that had been saved were Chad and Cheryl Burke and the Bachelor‘s Jake and Chelsie. The most entertaining dance was the Rumba by Pamela and Damian, so they hit the dance floor for their encore performance. It again was stunning!
Next, the Grammy Award-winning group Sade, headlined by lead vocalist Sade Adu, performed Babyfather from their most recent #1 platinum selling album, Soldier of Love.
Last night the double score showdown resulted in a lot of extra math. At the bottom of the leader board were Kate and Tony and at the top were Evan and Anna who by the way have been on top for two weeks in a row!
Tom Bergeron announced that after millions of votes last night, Evan and Anna would be around another week on Dancing With the Stars.
The show then gave us a glimpse into the life of our pro dancers this season. It was amazing to see when they began their life of dance as some were mere babies when they began competiting.
Some of the best young ballroom talent from the United States, including past Dancing With the Stars Ballroom Kids Champions, took to the stage in a performance choreographed by Dancing With the Stars professional dancer and two-time champion Mark Ballas. The audience got to their feet for the kids and so they should have, they were fantastic!
So far three couples had been let off the hook and two more couples were told where they stand. Nicole and Derek and Pamela and Damian went backstage to meet Brooke Burke and give their take on how it feels to be safe another week. Nicole was upset about her performance last night, but happy to be safe thanks to her fans!
This week’s Macy’s Stars of Dance brought New York City Ballet’s principal ballerina, Tiler Peck, and violin duo Nuttin But Stringz to the ballroom in a special performance choreographed by contemporary hip-hop dancer and choreographer Travis Wall.
Sade then returned to the stage and sang Sweetest Taboo from their second studio album, Promise, released in 1985. Known for their one of a kind sound, Sade has enjoyed phenomenal success both internationally and stateside over the span of their 25-year career.
Erin and Maks were the next couple to have their fate revealed and thankfully they were safe this week! Niecy and Louis, Aiden and Edyta and Kate and Tony were the final three to find out if they would continue on in the show. Kate and Tony were SAFE??? Argh, given me a break people…who are voting for this couple???
The couple going home on the fourth week of the Dancing With the Stars competition were Aiden and Edyta. Boo!
