Top Chef Masters on Bravo is all new tonight with a group of season one chef’s back to compete again for their charities. This week they take on pub food and The Real Housewives Of Orange County! Keep reading for all the details!
Top Chef Masters on Bravo kicks off tonight with six contestants returning from season one. This week our chef’s are: Graham Eliot Bowles, Jonathan Waxman, Ludo Lefebvre, Mark Peel, Rick Moonen and Wylie Dufresne and they are immediately put to their quickfire challenge: creating a pub dish that goes well with a particular cocktail. After testing quite a few drinks, they each choose one and head off to create a dish to accompany the cocktails. I am surprised any of them were even able to cook after all the cocktails they consumed!
But the challenge did not end there on Top Chef Masters on Bravo, after creating their quickfire dishes, they would be judged by a group of gals who know cocktails well: The Real Housewives Of Orange County. That’s right, Tamra Barney, Lynne Curtin and Alexis Bellino would be judging this round, and it was quite comical to watch the chef’s reactions to the housewives and vice versa. The gals voted hands down and gave five stars for Jonathan’s pork loin with lemongrass mojito, whose charity would be now be getting $5k.
Now it was challenge time on Top Chef Masters on Bravo and the challenge was to re create a pub dish from a list of favorites. Each chef chose one dish and headed off to shop. Ludo seemed to be getting on everyone’s last nerve in the kitchen, not sure how he even managed to cook anything since all he did was complain about everything. Ludo decided to create Irish stew which looked nothing like Irish stew to me, but the judges would have the final say.
At the critiques table on Top Chef Masters on Bravo, Jonathan once again knocked it out of the park as he had the highest score and was named the winner for his shepherd’s pie recreation. Ludo beat out Mark, whose seafood sausage could not save yorkshire pudding disaster, but that was quickly outlived as Graham beat Ludo’s score. Graham’s happiness did not last long either as he was quickly out starred by Wylie. With Rick and Wylie remaining, Rick beat out Wylie with his consistent four stars for his recreation of fish and chips. So, Jonathan and Rick will be joining our four other chefs thus far, and they will add two more next week for the finals!
