American Idol runner-upÂ Adam Lambert has announced the opening acts for his upcoming second tour which includes fellow Idol finalist,Â Allison Iraheta. Adam Lambert‘s Glam Nation tour kicks off on June 4th in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania andÂ American Idol fans will be happy to see a familiar face on stage, fourth place finisherÂ Allison Iraheta. The Idol alums will be traveling together all summer long on the tour which stretches from June 4th until September 18th.
JoiningÂ Allison Iraheta andÂ Adam Lambert onstage is singer and guitarist Orianthi who may also be recognizable toÂ American Idol fans. She performed on an Idol results show earlier this season in addition to playing with Mary J. Blige’s band during the fundraising event, Idol Gives Back. Orianthi also played guitar onÂ Adam Lambert‘s song, “Sleepwalker,” on his album.
The three rockers will be performing in medium-sized venues along the East Coast throughout the summer with one stop in Canada. Their only performance on the West Coast will be at the Orange County Fair on July 27th and 28th. Lambert and Iraheta are no strangers to sharing the stage. In addition to their stint onÂ American Idol, the pair also toured together for the Idol summer tour in 2009 and performed a concert withÂ Kris Allen in February.
“I am such a fan of Allison’s music and I am so excited for her to perform it live in front of an audience,”Â Adam Lambert says of her. “We have such a great brother-and-sister energy. … She is pure rock and roll.”
