After taking two seasons off to focus on her budding music and acting careers,Â Julianne Hough is reportedly returning toÂ ABC‘sÂ Dancing With the Stars. According to Access Hollywood, the ballroom beauty-turned-country crooner will be returning to compete on the reality dance competition next season. After eight seasons of starring onÂ ABC‘sÂ Dancing With the Stars,Â Julianne Hough left the reality dance competition to focus on her singing and acting careers. In the two seasons she’s been away,Â Julianne Hough released a Billboard chart-topping self-titled debut country album in May of 2008 which featured the hit single “That Song in My Head.” She also gave acting a try and can be seen in the upcoming film, “Burlesque” alongside Cher and Christina Aguilera. She also secured the lead female role in the remake of the 80′s classic, “Footloose,” which has yet to start filming.
A source close toÂ ABC‘sÂ Dancing With the Stars reports that the ballroom dance proÂ will return to star in season 11 of the hit reality dance competition. During her previous run on the show,Â Julianne Hough took home two mirrorball trophies in season four (with Olympian Apolo Anton Ohno) and season five (with racecar driver Helio Castroneves).
Despite her return toÂ ABC‘sÂ Dancing With the Stars,Â Julianne Hough has no plans to halt her music or acting careers. The country singer is slated to release her second album at the end of this year and her first film,”Burlesque,” hits theaters in November.
