Melinda Doolittle, third place finisher on season 6 ofÂ American Idol,Â is now officially an author. The recording artist released her first book, Beyond Me, this week. The inspirational nonfiction tome is filled with personal anecdotes and practical advice on overcoming life’s obstacles, secrets to success, and accomplishing goals. Doolittle writes about growing up as the child of a single mother, being tone deaf as a child, and overcoming challenges and struggles to find success as a singer and musician. Fans ofÂ American Idol will love Doolittle’s detailed account of her journey on the reality show, as well as her behind-the-scenes stories and details.
