Not surprisingly, The View co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck is stirring up controversy with another opinionated rant, but this time her target is ABC‘s Dancing With the Stars competitor, Erin Andrews. The ESPN correspondent, who is paired up with Maksim Chmerkovskiy on the show, was the victim of two stalkers in the last year, one of which videotaped her through a hotel peephole and posted nude footage on the Internet. In light of the incident, Hasselbeck criticized Andrews’ wardrobe choices on DWTS and made a brash statement that Andrews considered “a slap in the face.” Keep reading for all the shocking details…
On The View, Elisabeth Hasselbeck is known for her conservative attitude and controversial arguments, but she may have crossed a line as far as Erin Andrews is concerned. While Andrews and her Dancing With the Stars‘ partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, earned rave reviews for their Quickstep on Monday’s episode, Elisabeth Hasselbeck was criticizing Andrews’ costume choices, especially in light of her recent Peeping Tom incident.
“In light of what happened and as a legal [matter] — and as inexcusable as it was for that horrific guy to go in and try to peep on her in her hotel room,†Hasselbeck said. “I mean, in some way if I’m him, I’m like, ‘Man! I just could’ve waited 12 weeks and seen this — a little bit less — without the prison time!’†Ouch!
Understandably, ESPN correspondent Erin Andrews was “very shocked” by the statements. After Tuesday night’s episode of  ABC‘s Dancing With the Stars, Andrews called Hasselbeck’s remarks “a slap in the face to victims of stalking and sexual predators.†Andrews also added, “The thing that I was most upset about is I felt she was mocking a situation. As a mother and a woman, I’m disappointed she went there.â€
