Despite getting the boot from ABC‘s Dancing With the Stars this week, comedienne Niecy Nash is in good spirits. The actress says competing on DWTS helped her fulfill a “childhood dream” and, although she’ll miss it, it was an “awesome, awesome journey.” Keep reading for more details on Nash’s departure and what hit song she hopes to dance to in the finale…

Niecy Nash had too great of an experience on ABC‘s Dancing With the Stars to be bitter about her elimination. The comedienne says, “I fell a little short of winning the mirror ball, but what I did do is actually fulfill my childhood dream. I wanted to be a dancer since I was in the eighth grade, and every time I came out on the dance floor, I had the opportunity to actually live my dream. So, man, it was an awesome, awesome journey.”

Just minutes after the results were revealed and Nash found out that she and partner, Louis van Amstel, had been eliminated from ABC‘s Dancing With the Stars, she reportedly told the show’s DJs to play “something so we can get crunk in here.” The star then danced, laughed, and hugged her fellow competitors as she said her goodbyes. When asked what she’ll miss most, Nash says, “Being able to mother these contestants. I give all of them heart-to-heart advice on life, love, all their shenanigans and high jinks and carrying on and cutting up. And I gave them snacks! I don’t know what they’re gonna do without me.”

Nash won’t be gone too long, though. The curvy comedienne is slated to perform on the finale of ABC‘s Dancing With the Stars later this month. Her hope is to dance to her favorite song, Bootylicious by Destiny’s Child.  “When I come back and dance to that, America’s gonna be like, ‘We made a mistake. Bring her back,’ ” she says. Nash is also open to returning to the show in another capacity in the future, possibly as a guest. “I’m open to anything,” she says, “as long as I can make the world happy, make them laugh!”
