Our favorite chef, Gordon Ramsay is back tonight for another new episode of Kitchen Nightmares on FOX. This week, Chef Ramsay heads to Thousand Oaks, CA to help the owners of the once sought after Sushi Ko restaurant. But with a family falling apart at the seems, will he be able to pull everyone together to help save the business? Keep reading for all the details!

From the moment that Gordon Ramsay walks into Sushi Ko restaurant on Kitchen Nightmares on FOX he can sense a sort of tension in the air. Upon meeting the restaurant’s owners, Lisa and Akira, who used to be the chef he orders some lunch to find out what the problem here is. Despite both Lisa and server’s attempts to get Chef Ramsay to steer clear of Akira’s Sushi pizza, he decides to try it anyway and ends up spitting it out, calling it rancid. None of the other dishes strike him as any good, and he eventually finds out that the “fresh” sushi is actually frozen fish, yuck!

Not long after that, Gordon Ramsay heads over to speak with Lisa and Akira’s two children, whom also work there. He quickly learns that Akira has lost his fire for Sushi Ko and his desire to cook due to the failing of the restaurant. In turn, this is causing alot of problems in the family and they are divided. The children have lent their parents thousands of dollars to help with Sushi Ko, but no matter how much they help, the bills continue to pile up. After trying to speak with Akira, who is a man of few words, Chef Ramsay learns that he just doesn’t know what say or do anymore to turn things around.

After a disastrous dinner service at Sushi Ko on Kitchen Nightmares on FOX , Gordon Ramsay renovates the restaurant with a brand new, state of the art kitchen in hopes of helping the problems with the non working fryer an freezers, but he also knows there is more work he must do, just not at the restaurant. Chef Ramsay then heads over to Akira and Lisa’s home and has a heart to heart with the family. It seems to work as Akira finally speaks out and learns he has all the support he needs from the family.

On their relaunch night at Sushi Ko on Kitchen Nightmares on FOX, Gordon Ramsay puts Akira back in the kitchen with a new, modernized menu and he quickly gets his groove back. Lisa, however is not being very supportive, but after Chef Ramsay calls her on it, she realizes she needs to try harder. For a brief moment, Akira went back to his old ways of cleaning and waiting tables, but once again Chef Ramsay put his foot down and told Akira it would never succeed if continued to do so.

A few weeks later, we learned that Sushi Ko restaurant is doing alot better and their business is continuing to grow. Akira is being supported properly by Lisa and his children are extremely happy with the changes. Lisa and Akira however, have decided to look for a cheaper rental space for the restaurant to help them get ahead since they were so far behind. Looks like another successful attempt for Gordon Ramsay and Kitchen Nightmares on FOX.

Be sure to tune in next week at 9 pm EST for a brand new episode of Kitchen Nightmares on FOX, as Gordon Ramsay will once again revisit some past restaurants!

Sadly this show was filmed two years ago in the spring of 2008. In August of 2008 the restaurant closed its’ doors completely. In the most recent interviews the family has stated that they may try to open another location in the future when the economy is better. It seems like they were just too far in debt to dig out of it and save their lease even with Ramsay’s help.

The daughter Hana was sort of a child star… With her Star Trek: The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine role as the Daughter of Keiko and Miles O’Brien, Molly O’Brien.
