American Idol runner-upÂ Adam Lambert spent this week in Los Angeles shooting the music video for his new single, “If I Had You.” The video, directed by Bryan Barber, is outlandish and eccentric, in typical Lambert fashion. The video reportedly will featureÂ ”people who can fire eat, fire breath, fire juggle, fire twirl, etc.” According to the treatment for the video,Â ”This music video is set in a dark but beautiful forest, where we experience a surreal light show, similar to the Northern Lights of Norway. We are here for an artistic gathering of all types of people, to socialize, dance and party while taking in this display of beauty and mystery.”
Adam Lambert tweeted about the video shoot, which reportedly lasted all night on May 12th. Around noon on May 12th, theÂ American Idol wrote, “Gearing up for all night video shoot for ‘If I had You’!!!” He later tweeted, “Invited a bunch of my performer friends to cameo in the video. It’s gonna be one big happy family!!”
In the wee hours of May 13th,Â Adam Lambert took to Twitter again to report the end of the shoot. “That’s a wrap. Whew!” he wrote a few minutes after 6am. “Big thanks to the amazing cast and crew of the If I Had You music video!!”
