Bret Michaels is certainly a fighter. The rocker fought his way to the final two on NBC‘s Celebrity Apprentice and is fighting towards making a complete recovery from a massive brain hemorrhage. After spending 10 days in the intensive care unit, the star was released from the hospital and is rehabilitating. A near-death experience isn’t enough to slow the former Poison frontman down though. If anything, his schedule has only gotten more packed since the incident.
First up, the Celebrity Apprentice finalist is sitting down for an interview with Oprah on May 19th. A few days later, on May 23rd, he’s hoping to attend the live finale for NBC‘s Celebrity Apprentice. “We really hope that Bret is well and able to join us at the finale,” show host/producer Donald Trump said. “[Bret] is a fighter and strong competitor.”
Just a few days after the Celebrity Apprentice finale, Michaels is planning to return to the stage. The rocker confirmed on his website that he’ll resume his Custom Built tour on May 28th in Biloxi, Mississippi. The star plans to tour across the nation until the end of this year.
According to a statement on his official website, “Michaels, who has been rehabbing since his release from ICU, has increased his rehabilitation sessions to twice a day to prepare for his comeback on Friday May 28th at the Hard Rock in Biloxi, Mississippi and to continue on all of his solo dates as well as kicking off a tour with Lynyrd Skynyrd which begins June 10 in West Palm Beach, Florida at the Cruzan Amphitheater.” Michaels agent, Brian Ahern says, “We have been overwhelmed with well wishes and offers that continue to pour in for Bret. And promoters have really stepped up to the plate to reschedule dates he missed. Which is a testament to Bret’s great live performances and friendships he has built over the years.”
