The final four contestants head home for a month tonight on The Biggest Loser on NBC, but the obstacles they must face there will be much harder than those thrown at them by Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper on the ranch. We’ll also see the final four contestants run a marathon for charity as well as have their shocking final weigh in before the finale next week. This is our week America, we get to vote one person into the finale, so keep reading for all the fitness filled details!
The final four contestants all head home this week for 30 days. In that 30 days they try to adjust to life away from the ranch while still attempting to get their fitness and weight loss in. It proves to be harder for them than they thought it would be without Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper there to kick their buns into gear. Michael makes a good start by teaching his big Italian family how to make healthier meatballs, impressive! Ashley, on the other hand is having a difficult time adjusting and decides to call Michael for support.
Of course, they couldn’t go a week without a surprise from Ali, who informs them that they will be running a 26.2 mile marathon upon their return to the ranch. Ashley and Michael vow to do the marathon together and to finish it together. Hmm, could this be another possible love match in the making? Meanwhile, at home Koli is really struggling with keeping focused and heads to Las Vegas to get his routines in without interruptions. Clearly he is more interested in the prize than trying to adjust which is he is going to have to do anyway. Daris seems to be doing ok and even gets a visit from celebrity chef and former Celebrity Apprentice contestant, Curtis Stone, who takes him to his favorite restaurant and adds a few healthy meals to the menu. However, in a moment or two of weakness he started binge eating which doesn’t look like it will be good for his chances at the finale.
Now you didn’t think this entire month would go by without a word out of Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper on The Biggest Loser on NBC, did you? Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper stopped by all the final four contestants to ensure they were still reaching their fitness, weight loss and healthy eating goals. During the visit, Bob Harper is struck by Michael‘s overweight sister and tries to talk to her about weight loss and getting healthy again knowing she will have Michael’s help and support.
Finally it was time for their 26.2 mile marathon on The Biggest Loser on NBC. As Daris and Koli take off running, Ashley and Michael stick to their pact and stay together, walking some of the way. Whoever finishes the marathon will get $10k for the charity of their choice. All along the way, the final four contestants are greeted by family members and past contestants. Daris is not only looking to finish but to beat the previous best time of 4 hours and 55 minutes, which he does by finishing at 2 minutes past 4 hours…hopefully will burn off all that food he was eating at home. Koli finishes around 6 hours and Michael & Ashley kept their pact and finished together at 6 and 1/2 hours. That’s pretty impressive considering these were two of the biggest contestants this season.
Now all the fun at home and hard work was over and it was time to have their final weigh in before the finale, and this is hour our final four did at home for a month:
Michael from 322 to 299 (-23)
Daris from 195 to 197 (+2)
Koli from 231 to 218 (-13)
Ashley from 231 to 213 (-18)
This meant that our two heaviest of the four, Ashley and Michael were safe in the top two! This also left both Daris and Koli in the bottom, and this week it is America’s turn to vote. Koli pleaded his case about how hard he has worked, and Daris did as well while admitting to making a mistake by overeating at home. Both promised to continue their hard work as they begged for us to vote for them. You can go to NBC.com and cast your vote for which of these two should join Ashley & Michael in next week’s finale!
