Only a few more days left until the mirrorball trophy is awarded on ABC‘s Dancing With the Stars. Season 10′s finale is shaping up to be a close match between a Pussycat doll, ESPN sportscaster, and Olympic gold medalist, but who will win it all? Nicole Scherzinger and Derek Hough are working hard in hopes that they’ll be the final couple standing. The pair has been busy all week rehearsing not one, not two, not three, but four new dances!
“The biggest challenge of doing four dances is coming up with four dances,” Derek says. “You’re so fried. Your mind’s exhausted, your body is exhausted and to stay fresh and give it that one last push is the hardest part.”
Nicole admits that she’s having difficulty staying focused during their rigorous rehearsals and keeping all of the dances separate. “I’ve been in this schizophrenic ballroom state,” she says. “I’m kind of confused. I’m like, ‘Tango, no Jive, no Samba!’” Derek agrees, joking, ”It’s a kaleidoscope of craziness in our minds.”
Despite the stress and anxiety, Nicole is determined to enjoy every minute of the season finale of ABC‘s Dancing With the Stars. ”I made it this far and now you’ve got to just release and have fun with it,” she said.
