During last Thursday’s episode of Bravo‘s The Real Housewives of New York City, things got a little crazy when Kelly Bensimon was put on a yacht with four fellow housewives. Her behavior–which the other ladies called “a nervous breakdown”–included a tense showdown with Bethenny Frankel, calling Alex McCord a vampire, murderous dreams about Frankel, and a teary accusation regarding an article about her children in the press. Bensimon speaks out about her antics and defends her behavior in light of the “systematic bullying” that took place…
The arguments on this season of Bravo‘s The Real Housewives of New York City have reached epic proportions, escalating on every episode and alternating between the housewives. This week, Kelly Bensimon was in the middle of one of the craziest feuds on the show, taking on Bethenny Frankel, Alex McCord, Sonja Morgan, and Ramona Singer aboard a yacht. “It was four people against one. I go on this trip, I’m trying to be open. I have no expectations. I’m trying to be nice to these women who clearly don’t like me,†Bensimon says. “But the minute I got on the trip, they went after me. It was constant.â€
Bensimon blames her Real Housewives of New York City co-stars for what she calls “systematic bullying,” and says she’s learned her lesson about trying to befriend them. “I learned don’t do it. Don’t be around people who don’t like you. I will never engage them like that ever again. I learned my lesson, as should everyone,†Bensimon says.
During the episode of Bravo‘s The Real Housewives of New York City, the other women likened Bensimon’s behavior to a nervous breakdown, but she has a different term for it. “It was a nervous breakthrough,†Bensimon says. She also hopes that viewers won’t judge her based on this one isolated incident. “This is me being a Housewife on a television show,†she says. “This is not me in my real life.â€
