Last night on the season premiere of ABC‘s The Bachelorette, 25 suitors showed up to try to win Ali Fedotowsky’s heart (and nab a rose in the process). The season kicked off with the traditional meet-and-greet cocktail party in which Ali had to whittle 25 guys down to 17. The newest Bachelorette blogs about her first impressions of the 25 guys and what it’s like to be the woman in control of handing out those roses…
Ali Fedotowsky is the newest star of ABC‘s The Bachelorette. After leaving Jake Pavelka high and dry to hold on to her career during last season of The Bachelor, Ali finally quit her job in an attempt to find love. “It became clear to me that love is much more important to me than a job,†Ali says about her decision.
Her quest for love kicked off last night on the season premiere of ABC‘s The Bachelorette where she met 25 cute and crazy bachelors. “What a night! Let me first say that this was the most terrifying and exciting night of my life. I’m sure it is so obvious to all of you that I was unbelievably nervous,” Ali blogs about the premiere.
Shortly after meeting her 25 potential soul mates, Ali had to eliminate eight right off the bat, something that was very difficult for her. “Letting eight guys go at the end of the night was hard,” Ali says. “Going in I thought how good it was going to feel to give someone a rose. That made me excited. I never thought what it would feel like not giving someone a rose. I didn’t like hurting someone else or making someone feel like ‘Did I do something wrong?’â€
All in all, Ali seems pleased with the 25 “amazing men” she met during The Bachelorette premiere. “Kyle reeled me in, Jonathan N. brought a little sunshine into my life and John C. proposed! I can’t believe all the things they did to get my attention. All I can say is: It worked,” Ali writes.
As for what happens the rest of the season, fans will just need to tune in to find out. Ali hints that there are a lot of emotions this season. “You’re going to see me get mad, cry, be happy, stressed out. The real me — the good, bad and the ugly,†she says.
