Real Housewives of New York City: Kelly Bensimon’s Anti-Bullying PSA On YouTube
June 04, 2010 09:00 AM by Nancy Floyd
After being involved in an argument of epic proportions on a recent episode of Bravo‘s The Real Housewives of New York City, 42-year old single mom and model, Kelly Bensimon says she’s learned a valuable lesson about systematic bullying. Considering herself a victim to the bullying of her castmates, Bensimon took to YouTube to speak out about the dangers of bullying in a 30-second public service announcement. Keep reading for more details on the reality star’s PSA and what advice she offers to others in a similar situation…
Kelly Bensimon’s co-stars on Bravo‘s The Real Housewives of New York City accused her of having a nervous breakdown after an erratic episode aboard a yacht, but the single mom and model says she experienced a “breakthrough” instead. The valuable lesson she learned? Bullying is not ok. Bensimon is so convinced that she’s been a victim of systematic bullying that she took time to film her own public service announcement to reach out to other victims.
“I just want to clear the air,†Bensimon says in the beginning of the 30-second Youtube clip. “While filming the Real Housewives [of New York City], there was a lot that happened but the most important thing that happened is one thing that I realized: Systematic bulling is never okay. Four against one is never okay. Whether you’re a 4-year-old or a 10-year-old or a 40-year-old woman, being bullied or ganged up on is never okay.â€
The biggest piece of advice that the Real Housewives of New York City star has for victims of systematic bullying: “Remove yourself.”

This is a joke, correct? Denial, or damage control at it’s most insane. Is this part of her court ordered public service sentence for beating her younger boyfriend last year? THERE WAS BULLING on RHWNYC, hummmmmmmmm could it be Kelly, YES. Her double speak reaches Orwellian proportions. But she would be flattered by the literary comparison, so I take it back. Real victims of bulling are outraged by this media *****’s use of an important issue for her personal gain.
