Lions and tattoos and birthdays…oh my! It was another fun- (and drama-) filled week on ABC‘s The Bachelorette when Ali Fedotowsky took the remaining 11 suitors to New York City. She got to celebrate one bachelor’s birthday, star in Broadway’s The Lion King with another, and cause another to get a tattoo as a permanent reminder of their love. Keep reading to hear what Ali has to say about her exciting and surprising New York City dates…
This week’s episode of ABC‘s The Bachelorette took Ali Fedotowsky and the remaining bachelors to New York City. The first contestant to win an individual date was Kasey, the guy who wants to “guard and protect Ali’s heart.” The two shared a helicopter sightseeing tour before taking over the Museum of Natural History. The date had it’s good moments, but it was mostly marred by awkwardness when Kasey felt the need to sing to Ali not once, but twice.
“I had such a hard time figuring out Kasey,” The Bachelorette blogs. ”The first time he sang to me, I actually tried to play it off and started making up silly raps to make it seem like we were just playing around. When he sang to me for a second time in the museum, it was just too much. Kasey does have a huge heart, and I knew that I wasn’t ready to let him go. Plus we had a lot of fun!” What Ali didn’t get to see this week on The Bachelorette was that after their date, Kasey got a tattoo to prove his commitment to her. Next week’s episode should bring the tattoo to light and it’ll be interesting to see her response.
After the date with Kasey, Ali Fedotowsky and seven bachelors auditioned for The Lion King on Broadway. Ultimately, Roberto was chosen by the producers to join Ali on stage at that evening’s performance. “In the end, Roberto won the date hands down and the experience I shared with him during the live Broadway performance was indescribable. We were both shaking and taking in every moment of the experience,” Ali says.
The final date on this week’s episode of ABC‘s The Bachelorette was to celebrate Chris L.’s birthday. The date started out in Ali’s suite since she was feeling ill, but the pair later shared a romantic dinner and private concert by Joshua Radin. “Despite how I was feeling, I didn’t want to give up my time with Chris,” Ali writes. “I had been looking forward to this date all week and I wasn’t about to let him down, especially on his birthday. When Chris got to my place, I had Dunkin Donuts coffee waiting for him since we had previously talked about how that was one of our favorites things about the east coast.  Chris brought me chicken noodle soup…and we both determined that it really must have healing properties because I actually started to feel better. In retrospect, I actually think it was him that made me feel better.”
