On Monday, June 14th, American Idol host Ryan Seacrest was enjoying dinner at LA restaurant Mozza Osteria at the same time as First Lady Michelle Obama and her two daughters. Although most patrons were asked to leave the restaurant so the First Family could dine in peace, Seacrest actually secured an invite to their table!
According to Hollywood Life, “Michelle was at the restaurant having dinner with four other adults, including her handlers, and her daughters.” A source says, “They were left alone and in privacy. People who had pre-existing reservations were allowed to keep them, but anyone coming in off the street was asked to go to an adjoining pizza joint.â€
It turns out that Ryan Seacrest was dining in the same restaurant and when Sasha and Malia caught wind of it, they wanted to meet him. According to the source, ”Word got out that Ryan was in the building, and the daughters wanted to meet him. They noticed him right away,†says our source. “Ryan invited the whole family to a future taping of American Idol, which they were over the moon about. Sasha was the most excited to see Ryan. He was joking with the girls that they should be judges on the show. They loved every minute of it – he was so charming!â€
It seems that Seacrest didn’t just make a good impression on the young Obamas, but charmed the First Lady as well. “Michelle was fully relaxed. She was in tremendous spirits, especially when Ryan was there,†the source says.
