Bethenny Frankel, star of Bravo‘s The Real Housewives of New York City , officially became a housewife in March of this year when she married Jason Hoppy, and viewers of Bethenny Getting Married? got to witness the planning and event unfold in just four short weeks. Not surprisingly, planning an extravagant wedding in a month’s time caused a fair share of stress, most notably to Bethenny Frankel’s wedding planner, Shawn Rabideau. Keep reading for more details on why he says he almost quit altogether…

At seven months pregnant and with only four short weeks to plan her dream wedding, Bethenny Frankel, star of Bravo‘s The Real Housewives of New York City and Bethenny Getting Married?, wasn’t always the most laid-back and easygoing bride-to-be. No one knows this better than Shawn Rabideau, the man tasked with the job of planning the nuptials.

Shawn Rabideau admits that he had several moments during the month-long planning process that he wanted to throw in the towel.  “I felt beat down,” he tells Pop Eater. “For a fleeting, like, half a second, I thought about saying ‘forget it.’ But you know what? I wasn’t giving up and I knew I could do this and I was going to work my butt off and do an amazing job.”

Fortunately, his efforts and hard work resulted in a gorgeous wedding at Bethenny Frankel’s dream location, the Four Seasons in New York City. Although the iconic hotel was booked, Bethenny Frankel insisted on having her nuptials there and somehow Shawn Rabideau managed to pull through. “I don’t know if it was because I called 20 times a day and literally was begging them,” he says. “How we got it, I still to this day am not sure how or why they said yes.”

Among the craziest of Shawn Rabideau’s wedding planning tasks was helping Bethenny Frankel pee into a bucket minutes before the wedding ceremony, although he has no complaints. “[This] is why I love doing weddings — they are so unpredictable,” he says.
