On last night’s episode of  ABC‘s The Bachelorette, Ali Fedotowsky visited Florida, Cape Cod, Chicago, and Wisconsin to meet the families of her four remaining suitors. As is customary with the hometown dates episode, there were moments of total awkwardness, hilarity, and sweetness as Ali Fedotowsky got to see another side of her bachelors. There were a few things you didn’t get to see on last night’s episode and Ali Fedotowsky blogs about what you missed…
Every week on ABC‘s The Bachelorette, the decision of which bachelor to send home gets tougher and tougher for Ali Fedotowsky. Last night, after meeting the families of Roberto, Chris L., Frank, and Kirk, Ali had a more difficult time than ever. She blogs about her fun dates and difficult decision and what you didn’t see on the show.
Ali Fedotowsky sums up her feelings for Roberto best when she writes, “I know I say it every episode, but how hot is Roberto?! Especially in that baseball uniform … I am one lucky girl!” She enjoyed getting to know his family, but one thing that wasn’t shown in the episode was a meaningful moment that Ali Fedotowsky had with Roberto’s mom.
“A conversation you didn’t see is the one I had with Roberto’s mom, Olga, who is such a sweet, lovely woman,” Ali Fedotowksy blogs. “She actually gave me a crystal heart inscribed with the words ‘Love Never Fails.’ My mom gives me similar things, so this gift meant a lot to me. Roberto’s mom also taught me to cook tostones. I don’t cook, but I would definitely be willing to learn for Roberto.”
Another significant conversation that wasn’t shown on last night’s episode of The Bachelorette was between Ali Fedotowsky and Frank’s dad. The discussion, about Frank’s readiness for love, seems to foreshadow what’s coming up next week in Tahiti. “You didn’t see my conversation with Frank’s dad,” Ali Fedotowsky says. “He told me he doesn’t think Frank is ready to be in a committed relationship. I was unsure what to think about those comments, but was grateful that his dad was being completely honest with me. When he first told me this, I thought he was talking about Frank not being financially ready to settle down, but as you can see in the previews, that wasn’t the case.”
Ultimately, Ali Fedotowsky made the difficult decision to depart with Kirk, but wants his family to know it had nothing to do with them. “It was incredibly difficult for me to say goodbye to Kirk. I didn’t want him to feel like his family had anything to do with my decision. His family was great,” Ali says.
Tune into The Bachelorette next Monday night as Ali Fedotowsky’s quest for love continues in Tahiti and to witness her heartbreaking confrontation with Frank.
