Whitney Port and company recently wrapped up season two of MTV‘s The City and the show’s creator, Adam DiVello, promises there are some changes in store for season three. Now that The Hills has concluded it’s six-season run, can The City replace it? Adam DiVello sure hopes so! Keep reading for more details on the changes in store for next season…
With The Hills off the air, MTV‘s The City stands poised to be the reality show to watch on the network. Whitney Port, who got her start on The Hills, stars in the much more career-oriented and fashion-centered spin-off show. The show originally started out focused on Whitney Port’s friendships and love life, but quickly changed gears during season one to shed more light on the inner workings of the fashion industry.
Creator Adam DiVello promises that even more changes are in store for The City in season three, assuming it actually gets picked up by MTV. ”We’re kind of tooling with that and messing with that show so I think when it comes back, it’s going to be a little different than what you’ve seen. But it will be a better incarnation of it,” Adam DiVello says. “We have a bunch of new people lined up and a bunch of new locations. We just kind of branched it out. We’re just waiting for the word.”
Regardless of the changes, don’t expect the show to suddenly focus on drama and catfights in the club scene.  ”The City focuses more on work because New Yorkers are more career-driven,” Adam DiVello says. “They don’t mess around.”
