Here’s some news to fist-pump about! After days of contract negotiations, the entire cast of the hit MTV reality show Jersey Shore have signed on to return for season three. Well, everyone except one. Keep reading for more details on the cast’s pay raises and which reality star won’t be returning…

Season two of MTV‘s hit reality show Jersey Shore is returning to TV next week, but you can expect plenty more drama from Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Jenni “JWOWW” Farley, and the rest of the first-pumping gang. The cast has signed contracts with MTV to return for another season of the hilarious and dramatic reality TV show, but getting them to ink the deals wasn’t all that easy.

In the first season of the MTV reality show Jersey Shore, the no-name cast signed on to star in the show for $5,000 per episode. After the surprising success of the show, the stars decided to negotiate for more money. They reportedly earned $10,000 per episode for season two, but when it came time to start filming season three, they decided to hold out for even more. The cast reportedly went on strike before filming episodes for season three, holding out for $30,000 per episode.

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino tried to lead his cast mates by signing his contract with MTV on Tuesday. Fortunately, the rest of the stars followed suit. “MTV is pleased that the Jersey Shore cast are returning to Seaside Heights to continue production on season 3,” an MTV rep said. A show insider reports that their contract negotiations worked out. “They did get a pay raise. Everyone’s happy with their deals.”

There is one cast member who won’t be returning: Angelina “Jolie” Pivarnick, who joined the cast for season two but won’t be appearing on season three. “It was a personal choice,” the source says. “She never clicked with the cast and didn’t want to return to Seaside Heights.”

MTV is thrilled that the rest of the Jersey Shore cast has agreed to return.  “Not only have they become a part of the MTV family, but fans worldwide have fallen in love with them,” the rep says.
