MTV Reality Shows: What’s Next For Jersey Shore, Real World, The City, & Others

Now that the hit reality show, The Hills, has concluded its six-year run, what’s next for reality TV shows at MTV? What show will take over as the network’s next big hit? Keep reading for more details on what’s coming up on Jersey Shore, The City, Real World, and new reality TV shows coming to MTV…
The Hills has long since been one of the  most popular reality shows on MTV, but it recently came to an end after six seasons on the air. We’ve got updates on the other reality TV hits on the network. Here’s what’s coming up on your favorite shows and info on new reality TV shows to watch for:
Jersey Shore: There’s plenty more drama to be had for Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, and the too-tanned gang of Guidos and Guidettes! Season two of Jersey Shore kicks off next week on July 29th with the entire cast partying it up in Miami. The gang will return for at least one more season. They’ve all just signed contracts to return for season three.
The City: Whitney Port and company are hoping to return for a third season and creator Adam Divello promises big changes in store for the show. ”We have a bunch of new people lined up and a bunch of new locations,” Divello says. “We just kind of branched it out. We’re just waiting for the word.”
Real World: MTV is now showing new episodes of the 24th season of Real World. The housemates are partying in New Orleans this season. Real World will be returning for a 25th season although the location has yet to be announced. Casting was held this spring.
If You Really Knew Me: MTV has unveiled a new, more emotional reality TV show this week. If You Really Knew Me is sort of like group therapy for high school students. Each week, facilitators from a workshop called Challenge Day work with students at high schools to help them break through stereotypes and barriers and really get to know their classmates.
Teen Mom: Catch up on the lives of the young women who were featured on 16 and Pregnant. Teen Mom follows these teenagers as they try to juggle motherhood, school, dating, and family. Season two premiered this week.
