We’re back in Hollywood, with the fourth group of twelve quarter-finalists on America’s Got Talent‘s on NBC! Host Nick Cannon says that it’s time to find out which acts will advance based on America’s vote. Only four will go through – three by America’s votes and the fourth as chosen by the judges. Nick introduces judges Sharon Osbourne, Howie Mandel, and Piers Morgan. Tonight’s live acts will be Tyo Cruz and Bret Michaels! Keep reading to find out if honky-tonk singer, Mary Ellen, will make it to the semi-finals!
Doogie Horner, Mary Ellen, and Murray are the first three acts to be called onto the stage to join Nick and learn their fate. Howie comments that this is the first night he hasn’t had a strong feeling about who would go through to the next round. For these three acts, America voted and…Murray is going on to the semi-finals! Murray’s trick last night was fantastic, and the judges concur with America’s decision. Murray was definitely the best of this group!
Tyo Cruz hits the stage in sneakers and black leather jacket to perform his hit Dynamite!
Da Maniacs, Taylor Mathews, and Lindsey Stirling are the next three hopefuls to be called onstage. Nick Cannon prepares to read the results of America’s vote. I feel it will be budding pop star, Taylor Mathews, who will go through. Nick builds the tension, and then announces that…it is Taylor who advances to the semi-finals! The crowd, who had been chanting his name, goes wild!
NU Covenant, Prince Poppycock, and Strikers All Stars are the next feeling the heat in Hollywood. Which of these acts will go through to the next round after America’s vote? Piers weighs in, and seems to lean toward Prince Poppycock and his technically amazing voice. Nick tells the wound up crowd that after the vote…Prince Poppycock is in the semi-finals! No surprise there, although I loved Strikers All Stars and hate to see them go.
Bret Michaels from Poison is performing live now. He sings Every Rose Has Its Thorn accompanying himself on acoustic guitar and looks and sounds great. He is given a standing ovation after his big finish!
The final three acts have waited patiently to find out if they are going home. They are Anna and Patryck, Rudi Macaggi, and ArcAttack. Nick Cannon will let one act go, and the judges will decide between the remaining two. Leaving first is Rudy Macaggi. Surprising, since his circular saw bit was incredibly exciting. The judges will now select one of the remaining acts to go on to the semi-finals. Piers feels they may have seen the best of ArcAttack already and chooses Anna and Patryck for that reason. Howie loves the power of ArcAttack and says he has to go with them. Sharon tells Anna and Patryck they are talented and beyond their years. She admits she wasn’t a fan of ArcAttack at first, but was very impressed with the drama of their performance recently – she selects them! ArcAttack moves on to the semi-final round!
Next week, the act from YouTube’s America’s Got Talent competition that got the most votes will join the show!
