Bachelor Pad: Juan Barbieri Sets The Record Straight On His One-Night Stand With Nikki & Who Hooked Up In The House

Juan Barbieri was the first guy to be voted off of ABC‘s new reality competition Bachelor Pad on Monday night’s series premiere and he has his failed relationship with Nikki to thank. The couple allegedly had a one-night stand and Juan mistreated her afterwards, leading the other girls to vote him off simply for being a jerk. He sets the record straight about what really happened with Nikki and who hooked up in the house (no, it wasn’t Craig and Michelle)…
Juan Barbieri didn’t expect to be the first man eliminated on ABC‘s reality competition Bachelor Pad, but that’s exactly what happened. He feels that his was misrepresented on the show, having been voted out because of his history with fellow contestant, Nikki. According to Juan, their one-night stand didn’t go down exactly as Nikki portrayed it.
“Nikki tends to embellish and exaggerate and she uses the terms relationship and dating differently than I do,” Juan says. “We had been corresponding online and she seemed like a sweet girl. She invited me to Chicago. I had never been and was eager to visit. We had a wonderful weekend together. She was a wonderful host. Everything went as normally and naturally as you can imagine and then I came back to LA, my life and other people I was dating. We kept in touch but at no time did we ever talk about pursuing it.”
Juan says the animosity started between them six weeks later when he saw her on The Bachelor/Bachelorette reunion cruise and told her he had no interest in a relationship.
In any case, despite being eliminated first, Juan did get to witness a little bit of drama, most notably over Michelle’s alleged hookup with Craig. “That never happened,” Juan says about the hookup. “Craig and Michelle were on the other side of the room and I know for a fact they didn’t do anything inappropriate. If it was Tenley’s strategy to start a rumor about someone already on thin ice to rally the troop against her, it was well-played.”
There was, however, one couple who got down to business right away on Bachelor Pad: Jesse and Natalie. “They had an instant connection,” Juan says about the pair. “They are each other’s type in every way. I don’t know if it will last. They live in different states so that makes things difficult.”
