Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez still have a lot of planning to do for their 2011 wedding, but one thing is already covered: the music. The stars of ABC‘s The Bachelorette already know exactly what type of music they want at their ceremony and reception, and Ali Fedotowsky even hints at what song they might choose for their first dance as husband and wife. Keep reading for more details on their wedding playlist…
There are still a ton of details that need to be worked out for the 2011 wedding of The Bachelorette couple, Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez, but the music is under control. Ali Fedotowsky opens up to People magazine about the type of music she hopes to use during the ceremony and reception for their spring wedding.
Wedding guests (and possibly TV viewers) can expect quite a contrast between the music during the ceremony and the reception when Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez tie the knot. “I want it to be simple: one person, one instrument and that’s it,†Fedotowsky says about the wedding ceremony. “I think absolutely a violinist for that. My favorite music is like Jack Johnson, Schuyler Fisk … people who sit down with a guitar and sing. That’s what I want at our wedding — that rawness.â€
Simple and raw is good and well for the wedding ceremony, but when it comes to the reception, Ali Fedotowsky wants the crowd to have a blast. “Our wedding will be a lot of dancing and celebrating,†she says. “A live band, and absolutely salsa dancing. Every kind of dancing! I’m actually envisioning Roberto and I making up a dance — a funny, quirky dance that people are going to laugh at.â€
When it comes to the first dance for the happy couple, Ali Fedotowsky thinks she may have selected a song. It’s actually one called Bendita tu luz by Mana that Roberto Martinez first played for her after they got engaged. “It’s beautiful,†she says about the tune. “It was our first weekend together in our hideaway house and he put it on, and we laid in bed and we were holding each other, and he said, ‘This song makes me think of you.’ It’s our own organic song.â€
Although Bendita tu luz is Ali Fedotowsky’s choice, Roberto Martinez has another suggestion for their first dance. “Roberto loves the Lion King song,†Ali says. “It’s so cute.â€
