Nick opens the show by calling out Michael Grasso, Debra Romer, Murray, and Nathaniel Kenyon. He announces that one will be going on and three will be leaving. Piers guesses it will be Michael Grasso advancing. I agree. After America’s vote, the act going on is…Michael Grasso!
The cast of Le Reve in Las Vegas perform theatrical dance and acrobatics live!
Fighting Gravity and Jeremy van Schoonhoven are asked to join Nick Cannon on the America’s Got Talent stage now. Will both of these acts be put through? Nick says it’s the end of the road for one. Sharon feels they should both go through (as do I). The act moving into the Top Ten is…both! Great moment!
Jason Derulo takes the stage live to perform his hit, Ridin’ Solo! Jason is headlining his first tour beginning September 27!
Jerry Springer makes an appearance on America’s Got Talent and tells Nick Cannon how great a job he is doing. Jerry will be hosting the AGT Live Tour this year.
Nick calls Haspop, Maestro Alexander Bui, and Jackie Evancho to the stage. Howie points out that they are all amazing, and wishes them luck. After the vote, the act going on in the competition is…Jackie Evancho! I’m sorry to see Haspop go, but Jackie deserves this.
There are three acts left and only one spot left in the Top Ten. Alice Tan Ridley, Studio One Young Beast Society, and Michael & Ashleigh come out to the stage. Nick has to send one act home immediately – based on votes, Michael and Ashleigh are told they are leaving. The judges must now choose between Alice Tan Ridley and Studio One Young Beast Society.
Piers remarks that the decision is really tough, but he’s going to go with the act that he thought last night should be in the Top Ten – Studio One Young Beast Society! Sharon also puts through Studio One Young Beast Society! That’s two votes – all they need! They cry tears of jubilation as Nick says goodbye to Alice. I just know Alice will get a recording contract, and am thrilled for the dance crew to make it to the Top Ten!
