Despite his extremely busy schedule, FOX‘s American Idol runner up, Adam Lambert still finds time for charity work. Adam and his band recently took some time out of their Glam Nation tour to pay a surprise visit to some music students in order to provide them with some supplies, and Adam Lambert got a surprise in return! Keep reading for the details!
On August 24th, American Idol‘s Adam Lambert and his band surprised a group of jazz students in New York with some much needed supplies and some lessons on his latest hit single “If I had you” in conjunction with Donorschoose.org, an online charity that delivers materials to high-need classrooms. Adam also discussed education with the students, as well as his experience on American Idol. Then the children were given the chance to ask Adam some questions as they all received autographed albums.
But that was not the only surprise in store, in fact the students had a surprise for Adam as they played two songs for Adam Lambert and his band. The music teacher was thrilled with the surprise visit and stated that “It was an unforgettable day for not only the students but myself as well. Being able to make this possible for the students was just incredible. I loved seeing those HUGE smiles you saw on the students’ faces yesterday.†She went to say how thrilled she was that Adam was supporting Donorschoose.org and referred to the charity as “an organization that truly gives those teachers in need what is necessary to make their classroom run to their greatest potential.â€
