Despite the fact that the season eleven premiere of Dancing With the Stars on ABC is less than 2 weeks away, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino has yet to practice anything, or even meet up with his partner Karina Smirnoff yet. So what is holding the Jersey Shore star back? Keep reading for the details and to find out exactly what Mike and Karina think of the late start!
According to an MTV representative, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is busy wrapping up the season of The Jersey Shore this labor day weekend. Mike is reportedly taking two days off after he is done and then heading out west to meet Karina Smirnoff and begin rehearsals for season eleven of Dancing With the Stars on ABC, which premieres on Monday, September 20th, leaving this pair a little over a week to get a lot of practice in.
So what do Mike and Karina have to say about this? Karina Smirnoff is excited but also a bit nervous although she is trying to remain optimistic and had this to say about her situation “It’s going to be a lot of work, but if there is anyone I can win with it’s going to be Mike,” and “We are going to have a blast together.” Mike Sorrentino is also nervous, and although we have yet to hear directly from him, a friend of his family reports “He’s a little nervous but really excited about the opportunity. He doesn’t come from a dancing background, and wishes he could have gotten started with the rest of the dancers.†Hopefully Mike and Karina will be able to catch up with rehearsals since all the other pairs will at least a week advantage on them!
