The Apprentice: Meet The New Contestants

Donald Trump is gearing up for a brand new season of The Apprentice on NBC which premieres on September 16th, at 9 pm. Each of the new contestants has been hit hard by the economy and now has their chance to change their luck. Grab a seat and keep reading to hear all details on the new season’s sixteen new contestants!

Here’s a quick rundown of the new contestants on The Apprentice:

Tyana Alvarado
Tyana at age 41 has been unemployed for quite some time and never thought finding a new job would be this hard after previously earning a six figure income.

Kelly Smith Beaty
Kelly, a 30 year old from Georgia previously worked in the press office for the Governor of Georgia and was employed in the Atlanta office of a global public relations firm, where she was laid off.

Poppy Carlig
Poppy is a 24 year old college graduate, who has a Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology and Master’s in Sociology, and hasn’t been able to secure a full time job in her field due to the economy.

Stephanie Castagnier
Stephanie is a 34 year old who lost her parents at a young age and put herself through school ending up a successful banker and lender. She was directly impacted by the economy and is looking to turn her life around.

Nicole Chiu
Nicole is a 27 year old Cailfornia lawyer turned beauty queen, currently holding the title “Miss Los Angeles”. She is out to prove that the recession will not get her down.

Alex Delgado
Alex is a 43 year old husband and father who was laid off from his mechanical inspection job due to the recession. He has since taken on a tow truck job just to make ends meet.

Gene Folkes
Gene is a 43 year old Texan that served in the US Air Force who was laid off from his financial advisor position and is currently living off his savings account as he is trying to get his own assisted living project off the ground.

Wade Hanson
Wade is a 33 year old father and self taught real estate mogul who is certain he will bounce back from the economy because “he is a winner”.

Brandy Kuentzel
Brandy is a 30 year old attorney turned mobile cupcake owner who is determined to make something more of herself and the poor economy.

Steuart Martens
Steuart was the successful owner of four companies, until the recession when he had to shut some of the down and lay off all his employees.

Liza Mucheru-Wisner
Liza is a 30 year old mother and wife who completed her education while launching a business. Unfortunately her business venture fell with the economy leaving her looking for ways to grow and expand her business.

Clint Robertson
Clint is a 40 year old Texas native who went on to be a successful certified public accountant, real estate attorney and developer to having an estate sale where he was forced to sell a large amount of his family’s possessions due to the economy. He is currently living off his credit.

Mahsa Saeidi-Azcuy
Mahsa is a 29 year old who currently works as an Assistant District Attorney in New York and is the host of two web-shows. However, being the sole bread winner in her family has taken it’s toll during rough economic times.

Anand Vasudev
Anand is a 31 year old Floridian who was laid off from a very lucrative private firm managing several large multi-million dollar real estate investments, so needless to say his layoff was a huge shock.

James Weir
James is a 31 year old Duke grad who worked for a world class law firm in New York City until he was laid off over a year and a half ago. James, who has been unable to find work currently spends most of his time doing volunteer work.
