The singing sensation from Britain’s Got Talent, Susan Boyle, was slated to appear on America’s Got Talent on NBC for a performance, but after a devastating disappointment, scrapped her plans and left! Keep reading to find out what happened to Susan Boyle in Los Angeles, and for AGT’s top ratings news!

Update September 10:

Reps for Susan Boyle told the media today that the songstress had never planned to sing Lou Reed’s song, Perfect Day,  on America’s Got Talent.  They claim she was set to perform a tune from her new album, but due to a contractual issue, was unable to do so.

Interestingly enough, reps for Lou Reed say Susan was supposed to perform his song, but it was not cleared for the American market in time.  They clarified that Reed himself did not turn down a request from Susan Boyle.

Previously reported September 9:

According to celebrity gossip site,  TMZ,  the lovely Susan Boyle arrived by plane in Los Angeles on September 8 to tape her performance for America’s Got Talent.  But it wasn’t to be.

It seems upon her arrival, Susan learned that musician Lou Reed, formerly of the band Velvet Underground, had refused to grant permission for the incredibly talented singer to perform his song, Perfect Day.  His reason? He is not a Susan Boyle fan.

Reportedly, Susan walked off the set with deeply hurt feelings, in tears, and boarded a plane back to London.
