Project Runway: Daniel Vosovic’s Dirty Spring 2011 Collection

September 11, 2010 11:29 AM by Rebecca Ford

There’s something very, very dirty about former Project Runway contestant Daniel Vosovic’s New York Fashion Week show. What was it?

The dirt is in the runway.

The runway made of dirt was to emphasize the “nature” themes in his collection. Using neutral colors, modern cuts and feminine lines, Vosovic’s collection seem to emphasize that a woman can be strong and vulnerable at the same time. He also used digital printing to mimic fur.

New York Fashion Week continues to bring the Project Runway alum onto the stage. Not only did the finale of the current season tape earlier this week (with special judge Jessica Simpson), but Christian Siriano also showed his line, with 40 pieces!

Vosovic was a memorable finalist on season two of Project Runway. While he did not win his season, he did win the Project Runway All-Star Challenge in 2009.
