Just off the heels of the news that FOX‘s hit series Masterchef will be return for a second season, Graham Elliot talks to the Chicago Tribune about the show. Keep reading to hear what Graham had to say!
In a recent interview with the Chicago Tribune, Masterchef judge Graham Elliot dishes about the show and his fellow judges. When asked what surprised him about doing FOX’s hit series, he replied with “Learning that cooking is alive and well and that there are cooks all around the country from different cultures, backgrounds and religions who are so passionate about working with food even when they’re not paid to do it.” and he added that the judges are looking for someone “who can lead and inspire but also have an innate ability to work with ingredients”
So what did Graham have to say about his costar judges, Gordon Ramsay and Joe Bastianich? He says they did not intimidate him but, “Gordon is like 7 feet tall and super animated, so that was interesting to be next to for six weeks, but he took me under his wing and taught me a lot. Joe and Gordon each have like 25 restaurants around the world, and they are at this peak in their careers, and I’m 33, and I have one restaurant. Still, people sometimes ask me if I’m ever at my restaurant, and I say, “Yeah, I live in Chicago, and I have one place, and I’m there cooking like five nights a week.” Be sure to read the Chicago Tribune for the full scoop from Graham Elliot!
