After riding a wave of drama and emerging as the winners of the first season of Bachelor Pad on ABC, Dave Good and Natalie Getz are celebrating and making plans as to how they will spend their winnings! Read on to see what the pair had to say about beating Tenley and Kiptyn, and to learn what they plan to do with the money…
Fun-loving Natalie Getz and strategy-oriented Dave Good wound up taking it all in the Bachelor Pad season finale last night. The pair split the $250,000 prize money after undergoing a grilling from former housemates and then coming out on top of a vote which pitted them against loyal and likable Kiptyn Locke and Tenley Molzahn.
Dave and Natalie also had to do right by each other – had they both chosen to ‘keep’ the money, neither of them would have seen a dime. As it was, they opted to share the prize money and both were ecstatic – Dave Good literally jumped into the air and even kissed host Chris Harrison on the lips!
Afterward, Natalie told People Magazine that they were really nervous about their chances, particularly because they were up against Kiptyn and Tenley. About the super-friendly couple, Dave commented, “No one wants to see them lose. They are awesome, sweet people. It isn’t an act. They really do poop rainbows and smiley faces.” Natalie pointed out that for Kiptyn and Tenley there is an upside, saying, “They found love on the show. They’re the perfect couple. Everyone likes a happy ending.”
What do they plan to do with the prize money? Dave will be using part of his winnings to promote a book he has coming out called The Man Code. Sound familiar? He also announced plans to fund a family fun day for the military families in his hometown.
Natalie has some student loans to pay off, and will also use part of her share to fund a new charity to benefit prostate cancer, a cause dear to her heart because her father recently battled, and survived, the disease. Natalie would also like to start up a styling business.
As for their couple status, Natalie and Dave refer to each other as ‘best friends’, but Natalie hinted, “I may end up with the money and the guy.”
