Korea joins the America’s Next Top Model franchise
September 16, 2010 05:20 AM by Rebecca Ford
The hit modeling reality TV show America’s Next Top Model has been remade in numerous countries, and now Korea is joining in on the fun.
As Cycle 15 of America’s Next Top Model gets underway in the U.S., a new version will premiere to a new audience across the world. Korea has imported various reality shows from the United States, including Project Runway, which has been very popular in Korea. The same network that hosts Korea’s version of Project Runway will also be bringing America’s Next Top Model to Korea.
Korea’s Next Top Model will air on OnStyle and will be hosted by model Jang Yoon-ju. While the show won’t be hosted by Tyra Banks, it will have much of the same structure as the American version. The models will participate in a photo shoot challenge in each episode, and one contestant will be sent home each week.
The series will premiere September 18 in Korea.
