American Idol: Online Auditions Open Now

September 17, 2010 03:00 PM by Lisa Princ

American Idol on FOX is now accepting online auditions. That’s right, if you have been dreaming of auditioning for the hit series but are unable to make it in person, now is your chance. Keep reading for all the details!

American Idol is now recruiting on the web. In an official statement, FOX said “In celebration of ‘American Idol’s 10th anniversary season, the number one show on television is offering aspiring singers an additional opportunity to have their voices heard.” So how can you have your voice heard? Easy, just head over to FOX’s American Idol on Myspace and submit your voice as long you are between the ages of 15 and 28 your audition will be accepted.

With that said, there are a few limitations on the online auditions such as the fact that you will have to sing acappella from an approved list of songs, and you only have a small window of time to let your voice blow Randy Jackson and the other judges’ minds. Online auditions will be judged pretty similarly to live auditions, and if you are chosen you will be sent through to the next round in Los Angeles. The American Idol online auditions are open now and will remain open until October 6th, 2010. Good luck to everyone who is auditioning!

American Idol on FOX is currently auditioning for the next season. Check back for premiere dates!
