FOX‘s American Idol star Adam Lambert has been accused of battery this weekend by a Paparazzi on a Miami beach. Keep reading for all the details and to hear what Adam has to say about the accusations!
According to TMZ, who claims to have a copy of the police report, American Idol‘s Adam Lambert is being accused of misdemeanor battery. The paparazzi claims “Adam grabbed his backpack where the camera was placed and wrestled him to the ground forcefully.” but the police report also states that the photographer did not suffer any bruises or lacerations during the alleged altercation. Miami police are saying that the detectives will decide if the case is can be turned over to the State’s Attorney. If convicted, Lambert could face up to one year in jail and a $1,000 fine. Oddly enough though, in the photos that TMZ has posted, it looks like the camera is actually in the man’s hands and not his backpack.
So what does Adam Lambert have to say about all this? Well, the American Idol singer posted numerous entries on his twitter page yesterday about the event. He tweeted “Eeew paparazzi killed my peaceful afternoon on the beach!” and “They’re real good at provoking, but there ain’t any pics or video of the b.s. they spew out… Haha well… I lost my temper for a sec but wow it felt great lol MIAMI!!!”. Adam went on later saying “Battery? Nope. I attempted to grab a camera, no punches were thrown and no one was on the ground…. It was literally harmless. If embarrassment is a crime- that’s all I’m guilty of.” We’ll keep you posted if we hear any updates on this story. In the meantime, keep rocking Adam, we still love you!
