Project Runway: Michael Kors Presented a Sunny Collection at New York Fashion Week

September 21, 2010 08:00 AM by Rebecca Ford

Project Runway judge Michael Kors is used to judging the works of the contestants whose pieces are displayed on the runway each week. But what did the designer show for his own collection at New York Fashion Week? Read on to find out.

Michael Kors showed his spring 2011 collection at New York Fashion Week this past week. It was a very sunny collection! “Here Comes the Sun” played during his show. The collection seemed to be full of nature-loving pieces, including white linen pull-overs and robe belts.

The models walked on a “boardwalk” and a hedge backdrop, Michael Kors was all about the California sunshine. Kors even had a name for his nature-lovin’ collection: ”Naturaluxe.” A stand-out piece was the shredded taffeta skirt that looked a lot like a shrub you’d see decorating your neighbor’s front yard.

While Kors continues to dish out the criticism on the current season of Project Runway, his new collection received praise from the fashion critics.
