Project Runway mentor Tim Gunn has been on a roll lately, dishing his distaste for fashionistas, actors and reality stars. But his latest attack may have gone too far.
The Project Runway star released a book earlier this month, and has been seen all over the press ever since. His snappy judgments may seem surprising to some, since he’s pretty well-mannered on Project Runway. He recently called Gossip Girl actress Taylor Momsen “pathetic” and Vogue editor Anna Wintour “insane.” However, he may have gone too far when he dissed the show on camera.
Recently, Gunn has been posting videos on his Facebook page after each episode. His recaps give insight into the behind-the-scene action on set. His most recent post about the modern-day sportswear inspired by Jackie Kennedy challenge may have gone too far.
Gunn not only complains about the concept of the challenge, but reveals that producers were so disorganized that they would change the concept of the episode on the fly. He says it was originally planned as a challenge to design a costume for Katie Holmes to wear as Jackie for a History Channel biopic. The overall gist of the video is that Tim Gunn hates it all.
The video was taken down off his Facebook page. Perhaps the Lifetime producers thought it was too much? Looks like Tim Gunn is going to have to “make it work.”
