Gordon Ramsay of Hell’s Kitchen on FOX is best known for making grown ups cry and screaming at contestants as he tosses them out of Hell’s Kitchen during service. But a recent U.K. article reveals a much softer side to Chef Ramsay as he talks about a unique friendship. Keep reading for all the details!
FOX’s Hell’s Kitchen superstar, Gordon Ramsay has a soft side that most folks probably didn’t know about, he is an honorary patron of the Scottish Spina Bifida Association. As Gordon Ramsay gears up to host this year’s gala dinner in aid of the charity, which he heads every year, Gordon shares the story of a special little boy in which he shares a special friendship with. Seven-year-old Beau Rendall is a special friend of Chef Ramsay, who has been amazed by his spirit and courage in living with spina bifida. Spina Bifida is a developmental birth defect caused by the incomplete closure of the embryonic neural tube.
Gordon Ramsay who met Beau when he was just two, had this to say about his special little friend “Beau is quite a character. Last time I saw him he was recovering from an operation. “I am always touched by the love, positivity and support of his family too. The Rendalls are incredibly close and always full of fun. No one knows how they would cope with a disability unless they are in that position. I only hope I would be as brave and inspirational as Beau and the other kids I have met through the SSBA.” And seven year old Beau is just as fond of Gordon as his mom tells the newspaper “He’s proud to tell his friends when he’s off to see him but he’s not at all phased by the fact Gordon’s famous.” For more information about this birth defect, you can visit www.sbaa.org.
