Donald Trump Jr. of The Apprentice on NBC may seem like a cold hearted cut throat guy on the show, but the reality is that he really does have a heart! Donald Trump Jr. will be heading to Virginia this week to celebrate a groundbreaking in Virginia Beach for the new global headquarters of Operation Smile. So what is Operation Smile? And just how is Donald Jr. involved? Keep reading for all the details!
NBC’s The Apprentice star, Donald Trump Jr., best know for overseeing the team tasks for his father, will be heading to Virginia to a ceremony for the new headquarters of Operation Smile. Operation Smile is a charity that provides surgical care to children with facial deformities and operates in 60 countries. The medical charity has treated more than 150,000 children born with cleft lips, palates and other conditions. According to Operation Smile, about one in ten children born with a cleft dies before their first birthday.
Donald Trump Jr., who is a father of two himself is also an ambassador for Operation Smile and he will speak at the groundbreaking ceremony next week. The 72,300 square foot headquarters will be built in the Princess Anne Commons area. In 2007, the city of Virginia Beach donated 9.3 acres of land for the headquarters. An anonymous donor contributed $10 million of the $20 million construction costs. I can’t help but wonder if the Trump family donated?
