So far two contestants have been voted off Survivor: Nicaragua — one from each tribe. After a ridiculous verbal battle at Tribal Council last week, tensions are obviously thick at La Flor, which appears to continue tonight during the third episode. But that’s not all, coach Jimmy Johnson looks like he’s gone bananas. For real.
The preview for tonight’s episode, which is titled “Glitter In Their Eyes,” teases that the La Flor tribe is faced with a game-changing decision. “Now to the Medallion of Power,” host Jeff Probst says as they all stand on the beach. “Younger tribe, you going to use it or not?” I don’t see why this event is such a game-changing decision since this choice will be made all season long. Unless there is a major offer on the table connected to the Medallion.
Back at camp, NaOnka is on some sort of rampage involving Kelly B. “I’ll push you so hard that damn leg will fly off,” NaOnka says in confessional. What is this all about? A CBS press release says that a battle is going to erupt over a clue to the hidden Immunity Idol, which is when one fearless competitor makes a bold move that earns the upper hand. Does this mean NaOnka somehow finds the Idol herself? Hmmmm…
Over at Espada, some of the tribe members are out searching for food when coach Jimmy begins making ape sounds directed at the howler monkeys sitting above them in the trees. One tribemate asks Jimmy what the monkeys had to say, which Jimmy jokes, “They said get your ass outta here.” Then he takes it one step further saying, “If I had Bradshaw with me, we’d really talk to those animals.”
18 contestants remain.
