After last Monday’s episode of ABC‘s Dancing With The Stars we heard all the stars speak out about Bruno Tonioli’s critique of Michael Bolton’s performance. After Bruno said “it was the worst jive in eleven seasons” we were waiting for Michael’s reaction and Micheal Bolton has finally opened up about his thoughts on the comments and the show. Keep reading for all the details!
Dancing With The Stars celebrity Michael Bolton didn’t have much to say after Bruno Tonioli trashed his performance on Monday and even giving him a measly score of three. In an interview with ET, Michael finally opens up and talks about his thoughts on the comments. Michael told ET “It is fairly unanimous that Bruno crossed a line which was inappropriate and disrespectful beyond his responsibility to the show by most of the people who chimed in, by most of the people who are on the show, and to even Len, who is the toughest judge, who actually stopped him in the middle of his tirade and told him what he was saying was inappropriate and unnecessary. I watched that and I was, ‘Wow this is Len. He is the toughest guy.’ That triggered something where I thought [Bruno] had a personal issue going on and he wanted to see something done and he succeeded in doing it.”
Michael Bolton continues to tell ET that the experience was upsetting, not only to him but his family as he says “I flew my mother, who is 90 years old, in to see the show and two of my three daughters… That made the Bruno experience that much more painful. It wasn’t just an attack on me.” He then shares that the fan support has been amazing since the negative comments from Bruno Tonioli and adds “It’s been phenomenal. It’s been a unanimous outpouring. They have been very, very upset with Bruno. …It almost was like whatever he did, it kind of rallied the fans, and not just the fans, but people who aren’t part of my core fan online base, who have been expressing how incensed they were and how they feel he clearly crossed a line that they haven’t seen on that show.”
Michael Bolton is disappointed to be out of the Dancing With The Stars competition, mainly because he was looking forward to learning more dance moves, but he is so busy with shows that it comes as also a relief to him. When ET asked him who he thought would take home the trophy, he replied with “I think Jennifer is a real strong contender to win. I think Kyle has a very entertaining, amazing amount of energy that he brings and could be the surprise. And Brandy is really great on her feet, as well, and spirited. Everybody else I love… but those are the guys, I think, we’re looking at.”
What do you think of Michael Bolton’s critique by Bruno Tonioli, do you feel it was fair? Comment and let us know your thoughts, we’d love to hear from you! Then be sure to tune in Monday for a brand new two hours of ABC‘s Dancing With The Stars!
