Just in time for the season premiere of Dog The Bounty Hunter, Duane “Dog the Bounty Hunter” Chapman had a recent health scare over the weekend. According to a new report from RadarOnline, he was rushed to UCLA Medical Center when he began to experience pain.
Sources claim that the infamous star was taken to the ER and examined for a possible blood clot. Never a stranger to drama, the 57 year old was released after being checked out. Fortunately, the star seems to be doing better, according to several messages from his wife.
His wife and co-star of reality show, Beth Chapman, posted a statement on Dog’s official website. Says Beth, “He was admitted for tests for a possible blood clot following an injury he suffered on a bounty hunt. Duane is in very capable hands and we thank everyone for their prayers.”
Beth also tweeted a similar message to the fans this morning, “Yes dog is injured it is an occupational hazard that we deal with he is very strong and in excellent condition he will 4 sure survive.”
While Dog and Beth reside in Honolulu, they were in Los Angeles to promote season 7 of their series, although it is not certain if these appearance can be kept due to Dog’s illness. The season premiere will air on October 6 on A&E. One wonders if Dog’s injury will be featured on this season. Beth alludes to his condition being job-related, so we will have to wait and see. Nonetheless, it should be an exciting season, complete with the show’s 100th episode!
